For the past decade, I've built my career in technology recruiting, partnering with business leaders to identify highly skilled professionals and build technical teams across some of the country's largest organizations. A significant part of my experience has involved recruiting cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT professionals, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges security teams face, the complexity of protecting business operations, and the constant evolution of cyber threats.
Working closely with technology and security leaders has given me a unique perspective on how organizations defend themselves. I've seen the investment, expertise, and resources required to build effective security teams, and I've developed a deep appreciation for the challenges they face as criminals continually adapt their methods.
At the same time, I've spent ten years evaluating people, questioning credentials, identifying inconsistencies, and determining whether someone's experience and capabilities stand up to scrutiny. My career has taught me that convincing documentation, impressive credentials, and polished conversations aren't substitutes for independent verification.
And that's precisely what makes today's payment fraud so dangerous.
Criminals have learned how to exploit the trust businesses place in their vendors, employees, and existing relationships. They compromise legitimate email accounts, impersonate authorized representatives, and redirect payments without ever needing access to the company's bank account.
The problem isn't always a failure of technology. It's a failure to independently verify the person behind the request.
That's the problem I built BeVerifyd to address.
I firmly believe fraud prevention requires more than automated checks and security software. It requires independent research, direct conversations, attention to inconsistencies, and the willingness to question information that appears legitimate.
BeVerifyd was designed around those principles, with a specific focus on protecting businesses and accounting teams from impersonation scams and fraudulent ACH and wire payment requests.
